At Elk Creek Farmers Market, we are proud to offer a wide variety of locally sourced food for your family. From our own organically grown vegetables and herbs, to our fresh organic eggs, raw milk and meat, we are excited to produce high quality goods for our neighbors.
We value our community and strive to foster a customer-grower connection. Our sound biological, regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices cultivate a long-lasting connection with the earth. Our aim is to encourage healthy habitat for wildlife and increase biodiversity in the soil by minimizing the use of plastic and other environmentally harmful products.
We feel grateful to God for the opportunity to steward the soil and animals He has given us. We strive to glorify Him through Faith, Family, Friends and Farming through our words and deeds.
History and Organic Integrity
Our organic farming journey began in 2015 when we undertook farming for Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Operative. This kindled in us the passion for regenerative farming practices, which we had the great joy of fine-tuning for the next decade.
In 2025, we took the leap to open our own small market where we now have the joy of connecting with our own valued customers!
Where are we now?
No synthetic chemicals have touched our farm since 2015. We compost annually and use natural soil amendments such as lime and micro-nutrients to create a healthy soil and nutrient-dense crops. We till the soil as little as possible to prevent erosion, contributing to cleaner streams and preventing unnecessary runoff. We use sugar and other natural products to control insets and pests if needed. Additionally, we are experimenting with new methods for weed control to minimize the use of plastic mulch.
Our Vision
Our aim is to establish an organic market for those who have interest in eating healthfully, as well as creating an outlet for local farmers who want to produce sound, healthy and 100% organic food. In this way, we hope to contribute to healing the earth and building a healthy environment for generations to come.
